TEDDY TALBOT

STUDIO DIRECTOR & CO-CREATOR

Teddy Talbot began his dance training at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts and The Hartford Ballet. He furthered his training in New York City at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center. He has a BFA in Dance from the University of Florida at New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL, under the direction of Daniel Lewis.

For years, Teddy traveled the world dancing for Royal Caribbean, Saga and Norwegian Cruise Lines. He served as dance captain and production manager during his time at sea. In 2010, he furthered his movement education by receiving his Pilates certification from the Equinox Pilates Institute. Locally, he has taken the stage at The Adrienne Arsht Center, The Colony Theater, The Olympia Theater, Aventura Cultural Center, Little Haiti Cultural Center and The Broward Center for the Performing Arts, while performing works by Florida Grand Opera, Miami Contemporary Dance Company, Florida Grand Ballet, Dance Now Miami, Atma Dance Company, Next Step Dance Company, Donald McCale, Paul Taylor, Ray Sullivan and Merce Cunningham.

Teddy has been a featured principal dancer and associate choreographer for Kevin Black Productions since 2005, performing in production shows across the continent. In 2015, he was honored to share the stage with the talented cast of A Chorus Line in a regional production at the Stage Door Theater. He currently serves as assistant director, choreographer and soloist in Center Street Projects' original masterpiece The Haunted Ballet.  He is a former Guest Artist with Dance Now! Miami, premiering with the company in 2016. The following season he returned to the company taking on the principal role of Death in Joffrey Ballet's Lacrymosa.

In 2015, Teddy co-founded Miami Met Dance Alliance in Miami Beach, a company that provides choreographic and dance direction services for arts education, professional dance companies and entertainment venues. Teddy proudly serves as the President of the Board of Directors for Miami Dance Hub, a multi-faceted resource seeking to provide a networking center for professional artists in the Miami dance community. Teddy has been teaching young artists since 2006 in dance studios both locally and internationally. He has also been a guest instructor and choreographer at Academy of Arts Minds, Somerset Academy Arts Conservatory and Miami Arts Charter. During the summer of 2021, his contemporary ballet work entitled Mind Your Madness was selected to perform at the International Ballet Festival of Miami. Recently, his ballet Delirium was presented at the Toronto International Dance Festival.  Teddy recently served on faculty at his alma mater, New World School of the Arts, where he taught ballet and jazz. For five years Teddy was the Assistant Director of the Miami Arts Charter Dance Department for Middle and High students in Wynwood. He is currently pursuing different business opportunities in the arts community while serving as the Studio Director at TAME.
